From first conversation to final fitting.

We take time to understand your needs and your taste. We ask about your special occasion, if any, and whether you wear a suit every day or from time to time for events such as a wedding or black-tie occasion.

Our professionals guide you through fabric, construction and options including linings, buttons and other details. Once selections are made, we take your body measurements, considering both measurements and body shape concerns to assess your fit. At the end of the order, you may choose the Custom Process or Bespoke Process based on your selections and measurements.

Custom Process: The first fitting can be as early as 3 weeks from the date you place your order. You try on your custom-made garment and we determine together whether any adjustment is needed. If you are satisfied and no adjustment is needed, the first fitting becomes your final fitting.

Bespoke Process: The first basted fitting can be as early as 3 weeks from the date you place your order. You try on your basted garment so we can check every detail and pin any needed adjustments. Once you are satisfied with the basted garment, we finalize it to be made into a suit. The first fitting after the basted fitting is estimated at about 3 weeks from the date we finalize the basted garment. At that fitting, you try on your bespoke suit and we determine together whether any additional adjustment is needed. When you are satisfied and no adjustment is needed, that becomes your final fitting.

A few weeks after your final fitting, we check in to make sure you are happy with your Jacob Young garment. If you have fit concerns, we offer complimentary alteration service within 60 days from your final fitting date.
